Charles E. Reichel

charles reichel

Charles E. Reichel, the “Creativity and Career Counselor,” has served on the Board of Directors and Advisors of the National Creative Society almost since its beginning. After serving as President, he was chosen as the Society’s part-time, Executive Director in February of 2007.

As a story-teller, his own sacred story includes being husband, since 1970, to community chorus symphony

singer and church choir conductor, Sharon, Charles is also father to three grown and creative children who were each engaged, beyond high school, in creative, artistic clubs during their University years at Stanford, Harvard and Princeton. His oldest daughter Cara and her husband Peter Mills continue as professional artists as founders and principals of the Prospect Theater in New York City

Charles is a Nationally Board-Certified Counselor and Georgia Licensed Professional Counselor who has served as the Director of Career Development for one of this nation’s finest small colleges: Shorter College in Rome—A college that is noted for its fine arts achievements and accomplished arts students. He holds the Ph.D. in Educational Psychology and in his consulting work has helped to successfully personally prepare over two thousand students for SAT and ACT and college entrance exams. He also holds an M.A. in Urban Planning from St. Louis University and a Master of Divinity degree from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis. He has used these credentials, for more than 35 years, through the Lutheran Church, where he has served as Pastor, Pastoral Educator, and as past Director of the seven state Lutheran Resettlement Ministry.

He wants the readers of “Hues, Hums, and Hugs” to know that while each of these alliterative words carries its own resonance and creative meaning; each also begins with the letters “H” and “U”. Charles means for these words to signal “human uniqueness.” His own professional purpose and goal is to help his readers identify, celebrate, and serve from their own, unique,“soul-purposes.”
