CONTESTS
Throughout the year, the National Creative Society will either sponsor or refer our readers and members to existing contests for young artists.
While contests sponsored by the National Creative Society require students to be active members of an active, chartered chapter, other listed contests, sponsored by others, do not.
The first contest (open to all young writers who follow the contest guidelines) is the 2008 National Kids-in-Print Book Contest for Students. This contest encourages and celebrates the creative talents and skills of students and is sponsored by Landmark House, Ltd. Student winners may see their books published. The deadline for enty is June 1, 2008.
Further details: Contest Details.
This contest has a long previous history as the Written and Illustrated By contest and Landmark House Ltd. is run by dedicated professionals carrying on a great tradition. (Also see our Resource links to the this company as listed by clicking on our interactive portal button.)
Best Practices Competition by School Chapter Beginning with our first random drawing in December of 2007 all chapters who contributed materials to our “Best Practices Chapter Activities” (whether they are posted online or not) are eligible to win a free chapter membership for the following year. (Currently a $60 value.) Four such drawings a year will be held and the chapters who submitted best practices during the previous three months will be eligible to win the drawing. Winning chapters will be announced and posted online. Each chapter may win only once during each academic year. |
